  • Epsom salts are inexpensive, it’s readily available and it’s an old-time remedy that works.

Epsom salt has a range of uses and benefits – whether you’re a supermodel, a top athlete, a gardener or someone who wants to de-stress and improve your health.

Soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salts before bedtime is an excellent therapy for relaxation.

Epsom salts can be used for anti-itch remedies for sunburn relief, poison ivy, poison oak mosquito bites and other insects.

Epsom salt is made of naturally occurring minerals magnesium and sulphate, ingredients which can help improve health in numerous ways. A lack of magnesium—which helps regulate the activity of more than 300 enzymes in the body—can contribute to high blood pressure, hyperactivity, heart problems and other health issues. Sulphate is essential for many biological processes, helping to flush toxins and helping form proteins in joints, brain tissue and mucin proteins.

  • Natural Enzymes only source the highest grade quality of Epsom salt, Chemically pure- Medical Grade Standard.

  • The benefits of Epsom salt aren’t just folklore. In fact, numerous studies have demonstrated the profound and wide-ranging benefits of magnesium and sulphate. Doctors and researchers say that when you soak in an Epsom salt bath, magnesium and sulphate can be absorbed through the skin. They recommend an Epsom salt bath as a safe, easy way to increase the body’s levels of both magnesium and sulphate.

EPSOM SALT CAN BE USED TO HELP REDUCE ITCHING IN THREE WAYS.

1.Take an Epsom salt bath, by adding two cups of Epsom salt to the water in a standard-sized bathtub and soaking for at least 12 minutes. The Epsom salt will dissolve quicker if you put it under the running water.

2.Make compresses by soaking a cotton washcloth in cold water that has been mixed with Epsom salt (two tablespoons per cup), then apply to the skin

3.Create a paste to apply to the skin by adding a teaspoon of Epsom salt to about a cup of hot water until it dissolves, then chilling the solution in the fridge for 20 minutes. Note: Clean the skin and pat dry before applying the paste.

Epsom salt helps draw the moisture out of lesions caused by rashes, such as poison ivy.

  • WHY IS EPSOM SALT CALLED EPSOM SALT?

One of the earliest discoveries of magnesium sulphate, the scientific name of Epsom salt, occurred back in Epsom, England, which explains the first half of the name. The term “salt” probably refers to the specific chemical structure of the compound, although many people mistakenly assume it refers to the crystalline structure of Epsom salt, which has an appearance similar to that of table salt. (Table salt, of course, consists of sodium chloride, so it’s an entirely different substance than magnesium sulphate.)

WILL EPSOM SALT DRY YOUR SKIN AND LEAVE A RESIDUE THE WAY SEA SALT DOES?

No. In fact, Epsom salt is widely reported to soften skin, and it rinses away completely. While we don’t yet understand precisely why Epsom salt has a softening effect, the results have been widely reported for hundreds of years.
